Our advance team has joined up with UN and is moving to Les Cayes to assist at a hospital .
The UN soldiers are escorting them to the refuge camps on the city limits of Les Cayes.
Our communication has been terrible.  It limited to a few intermittent texts and some very garbled, almoat useless phone calls
Matthew is a Category 4 hurricane and will ravage the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Just to put this hurricane in perspective,Katrina and Sandy were Category 3 that made land fall in a developed country.

Our friends, Dale and Dorothy, from International Medical Alliance are on their way down this morning. They will fly into the Dominican Republic and try to make their way into Haiti after loading up on food and supplies.  Their son Thomas, will fly into Port Au Prince as soon as the airport re-opens.

Thanks to friends, family and lots of people we never met we were able to raise $150,000+ within days of the Haitian earthquake in 2010. As fast as that money came in, it was spent on bleach, diesel ,water and food. Cash was the most important supply.

Carol and I have made a $5,000 Challenge Grant where we will match dollar for dollar any thing given.

Please go to imaonline.org and give what you can. This organization spends nothing on itself. Every cent that comes in goes to where it is needed most.

Carol and I may go if we are needed but right now we will do what we can from here
.

Thank you for your support and please feel free to forward this message to anyone else who may be interested in supporting the people of Haiti.

Thank you,
Tom and Carol

It seems that every blog I read starts out with "it has been a long time since we posted anything." Well our blog is no different. Out of sight, out of mind. Writing is always the last thing I care to do at days end.
We are still active in Haiti how ever we have had some of the worst set backs since the earth quake over six years ago. So  many projects we have been working on are  back to square one.  More on that later ,when I get around to posting
