Attempting to Get a Visa for Nadia

I have been working most of the day, writing letters and attempting to contact our state senators and representatives about bringing Nadia home with Tom and Carol to deliver her baby and to receive some much needed post-op surgery. Nadia is the Haitian interpreter that has been an integral part of missions for Friends of Haiti. Due to the high risk condition associated with her pregnancy, it is imperative that she be delivered of this child here, among modern medical technology.

Nadia is currently with Carol and Tom in the DR. She has a husband and a three year old son. If you have any ideas or links to someone who can help with a visa, please let me know!

  1. I am very grateful that Nadia is with Carol and Tom and in the medical care of Carol. I am also grateful for the cooperation that I've heard about from the Dominican Republic. Now we need cooperation from the both Haiti and the US so that Nadia can go with Carol or Tom and receive the medical that her condition requires. Pray and advocate for Nadia and all others in comparable situations. There are many welcoming communities here in the states who will receive our Haitian sisters, brothers, friends and help them heal. God bless all, Fr. Larry

  4. I wish I could help with this situation. Mariagnes Kohler told me to contact you guys. I am an adult ICU nurse and a public health student and am trying to get to Haiti for my spring break in March but have no clue where to start. I emailed IMC and hope to hear from them, but was wondering if you guys had any thoughts or ideas. Hope you get some rest! Keep up the hard work! Thanks for anything you can pass along.
